Mich interessiert es als Spiegel insbesondere des wirtschaftlichen Lebens. Und ich schreibe in diesem Thread natürlich nicht für 10000 User die täglich die neueste Pennystockrakete anklicken, wozu sollte ich das auch?
Jedes Thema findet das zu ihm passende Publikum. Aber traurig finde ich das überhaupt nicht. Mir würde es sogar genügen, nur einen einzigen Leser zu haben- mich.
Übrigens fand ich es auch äußerst raffiniert (und natürlich perfide) wie Scrushys Verteidigung die Rassengegensätze in ihre Strategie eingebaut hat.
Es Gibt kaum einen schöneren Eindruck der Scheinheiligkeit des amerikanischen Justizsystems als die folgende Passsage:

Soderquist noted that the defense appeared to be appealing throughout the trial to the sympathies of the jury, composed of seven blacks and five whites. Prominent black attorney Donald Watkins, who hugged Scrushy as the verdict was read, had reminded the jury in closing arguments of the struggles of the civil rights era in Birmingham and Alabama and how juries helped the movement succeed. Black ministers were also visible supporters of Scrushy in the courtroom throughout the trial.
Soderquist noted that Scrushy, a white businessman, has "a very high reputation in the African-American community" in the months after his indictment as he took on a more highly visible role at black churches.
In all, 15 former HealthSouth executives have pleaded guilty since 2003, when the scandal erupted publicly and drove the company to the brink of bankruptcy.
