How have you and your colleagues capitalized on this success? The vision behind the WORLD POKER TOUR has always been to get where we are today. With the powerful medium of television we have effectively branded the massive poker market. The future of our business is to continue to maintain our position as the NBA of poker and to monetize that brand over multiple platforms. From poker chips to video games to educational s DVDs, we are becoming synonymous with poker in the United States and around the world. In August, we raised capital through an initial public offering and are now traded on NASDAQ under the symbol WPTE. As one of the most successful IPOs in 2004, we have raised sufficient funds to respond to this rapidly growing market and capitalize on the many opportunities that we have helped create. We have also managed to extend the ultimate invitation to our audience. For three years now we have invited people to come play in our tournaments. For two years we have invited people to watch the WPT on television. And, now we are excited by the prospect of being able to literally deal our audience into owning a piece of the WORLD POKER TOUR. This is the first time in the history of televised sports entertainment thatthe public has had an opportunity to invest in the early stages of an emerging, legitimate sports league. If you or I had gotten a piece of the NBA or the NFL when they began, we would be pretty happy with that investment today. |
