Updated: 9/20/00 CABLE TV DRAWS NETIZENS Cyberbiz Brief By JUSTIN OPPELAAR Web sites affiliated with Cable TV networks commandeered 60% of the 1.52 billion media-related page views recorded in July, according to a study done by the Cable Television Advertising Bureau. The study, based on data provided by Nielsen/NetRatings, also found that cable sites garnered a unique audience of 26.1 million in July, roughly equal to those of Broadcast TV, newspaper, radio and magazine sites combined. Among July`s top 10 sites posted by cablers were such usual offline suspects as msnbc.com, espn.go.com, mtv.com and cartoonnetwork.com. |
