twCOMDEX or No Comdex
I still am booked for Comdex but I may opt to postpone if upgd are not there IN ANY FORM.This of course is not yet known
for certain,we are told that this is still under negotiation.We do know that to lay on a basic display would cost upgrade
around ONE MILLION dollars in suite and room costs,yes it really is that damned expensive at the Bellaggio.They insist on
50 plus rooms to have a function suite of any size.
Would you spend that on COMDEX or would you forget Comdex this year and get on with talking to your list of customers
that are saying "Hey send me some reader/writers and cards as soon as they are ready"
Personally,I see no point in upgd going just to show the Pemstar reader-writers to Joe Public.
Reason being it is not Joe Public who they are after.They know EXACTLY who they are after and I have no doubts these
potential customers are waiting for sample Reader-writer units and a batch of cards to get on with pilots.Some Longs
especially our pals in Germany whom I respect very much (they were the first serious upgd investors )feel that it is a let
down not to be at COMDEX.
I say to them "Just because your girlfriend has a nice figure dont ask her to strip off in public,just take pleasure in the fact
that YOU KNOW whats under there and smile" Of course if you care about your girlfriend!!!!!
Upgrade have to also consider the head start they have over other "Smart Cards" out there and I wouldnt show my hand at
this early stage in UCs life to ANYONE except a potential large user.You can never eliminate competition but you can stay
one lap ahead.Upgrade are three laps ahead and I like that.
CW Brownie posted recently a nice article about the current Smartcards and booking tickets where seat and food
preferences were already pre-stored on a "smartcard".The article was good news for us but with only 34K available info
space on a current chip card these "Smartcards" are about as much good as a one legged man in an arse kicking
contest.They may enter the race but they will never win once a two legged man steps up.
Now 5 Mebtytes - different thing.
I advise anyone new to this board who hasnt done so to take an evening with a nice bottle of wine and left click on
RECKON`s alias name at the start of any one of his posts to pick up all his post history.Then go back and read them.It will
blow your mind.Reckon is our best technical long backed up by CW Brownie and Taipei Lady.These are the people the
bashers call "cheerleaders".
Well I say Cheers to them.I have learned so much from these peoples hard work.They are TOTALLY independent and
about as far from an insider as you can get and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE.Thats why morons like Zero are attacking
them.Hey dont we live and learn what levels people will stoop to,just to earn a buck.
I may have to stand corrected on one earlier point about the keepered media strips in Ultracards that WERE made by
SCIVAC and WILL BE made soon by Upgrade themselves in their own facility.We know Upgrade ordered a machine from
Scivac and it was due for delivery July/August.IT MAY HAVE ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED (Steve please double check
me here would you )but whichever way its not important.If Upgrade need some strips for a few thousand or a few hundred
thousand cards for the pilots Scivac will make them until Upgrade has their own machine to produce them in house.The
machine we understand has been ordered to achieve higher volume and lower cost strips.

a mental challenge I alone would ingest you,spit you out and flush you down the toilet - and I am not the most informed one
on this site by any means .You know nothing about Upgrade ,you are worthless to this board and any other board .I
compare you with Diahorrea.Carry on your frivolous campaign. Someone might read your posts .
