Uranium Energy Corp Acquires the Rights to a Strategic 50-year Wyoming Uranium Database
April 27, 2006
Odell database of 315,000 feet of drill logs, maps and geologic reports will provide the Company’s Wyoming acquisition and exploration program with a significant competitive advantage in a State that host the largest uranium reserve in the US

AUSTIN, TX – APRIL 27, 2006 – Uranium Energy Corp (“the Company”) has acquired the rights to a significant database containing over 50 years of uranium exploration and development data for the state of Wyoming.

This uranium database consists of 315,000 feet of drill logs, over 400 maps, copies of all US Geological Survey uranium publications going back to 1954, and geological reports on uranium ore bodies throughout Wyoming.

The database is made available to the Company by Robert Odell, the compiler and publisher of the Rocky Mountain Uranium Minerals Scout since 1974. The Scout is a monthly uranium intelligence report that is available by subscription to uranium mining and exploration companies. It monitors all uranium claim-staking, exploration, development, mining, reclamation and corporate activities.

Mr. Odell has been engaged as District Geologist for Uranium Energy Corp, and lends his 52-year data, knowledge base and experience to the Company in its search for economic uranium ore bodies in the state of Wyoming. Mr. Odell graduated with a BSc in Geology from the University of New Mexico in 1951. Since then, he has worked with numerous uranium development companies, exploring for uranium in New Mexico, Arizona, and chiefly Wyoming, the most prolific area of uranium production in the United States, and host of the United States’ largest uranium reserve, according to the US Department of Energy. Please visit www.uraniumenergy.com for Mr. Odell’s complete professional history.

Uranium Energy has already been successful in utilizing this extensive database to identify and acquire drilled-historic uranium resources in Wyoming. A multitude of new targets have also been established, and continue to be sought out, either as potential stand-alone ISL operations, or as ISL satellite ore bodies. Furthermore, the database also contains valuable drill data on properties held by other uranium exploration companies, with whom the Company now has natural synergies for joint activities or sale of data. The Company continues to aggressively exploit the tools at its disposal in order to realize value for its shareholders.

The Company currently has two claim blocks in the Shirley Basin, giving Uranium Energy Corp approximately four million pounds of historically drill-proven uranium resources in the state of Wyoming. These blocks are the Mud Springs Prospect in the North Shirley Basin, containing an estimated three million pounds at an average grade of 0.11% U3O8, and the Burnt Wagon Prospect in the Poison Spider Area, containing an estimated one million pounds at an average grade of 0.048% U3O8.
