According to this link (http://www.jcnews.com/parse.cgi?pc/news/big/200010/30), AMD`s Bob Mitton (Enterprise Products Product Marketing, Computation Products Group)told PC Watch (Japan) during an interview that Athlon can also go up to 2GHz when Pentium4 goes to 2GHz+ in Q2 2001.
