Stocks >> NEWS Emergency Disaster Systems and TalkRadio 790 KABC to Supply Disaster Survival Kits to Los Angeles Area Residents Through September 8th - September 11th Radiothon CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emergency Disaster Systems, a subsidiary of U.S. BioDefense (OTC Bulletin Board: UBDE), announces it will participate in "Operation Get Your Kit Together" in conjunction with TalkRadio 790 KABC, owned by a division of Disney, being held September 8th -- September 11th. "Operation Get Your Kit Together" is a seventy-four hour radiothon focused on creating awareness and assisting southern Californians in preparing for various types of emergencies such as earthquakes and terrorist attacks. The event is sponsored by TalkRadio 790 KABC, Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA, the County of Los Angeles Office of Emergency Management, and the Orange County Office of Emergency Management. The proceeds from the event will benefit Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms Severely Wounded Warrior Center, the Education Fund for Children of Camp Pendleton Marines who have lost a mother or father in IRAQ, and the blind and disabled in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. EDS will be providing the survival kits used for this event. The kits consist of a one person and two person kit, with a stand alone emergency radio siren product being the third item available for purchase. Each kit provides a three day supply of food and water rations, in addition to first aid, lighting, hygiene, and personal care items.
