robots (bots) for the Internet, today announced that it has appointed Rolf Levenhagen, who has held a variety of senior
positions in the technology industry for the last thirty years, to the Company`s recently created position of President of Global
Sales and Marketing.

``I am very pleased to have Rolf join us, said Eberhard Schoneburg, Chairman and CEO of Artificial Life Inc. He is one of the
best sales men I know in the world and therefore a great extension of our team.

We are in the process of transforming the Company from a technology and R&D organization into a sales and marketing driven
organization. Rolf is the right guy for this job. With his great experience and contacts worldwide, he possesses the best
ingredients we need to get this done fast and efficiently. His duties will include the establishment of new sales and distribution
channels, the signing of global partners and to push our direct sales to new levels. Between completed products and those near
completion, we feel we can provide him with the necessary products and services to achieve this goal. Under Rolf`s guidance
we also intend to significantly expand our sales and marketing team on a global basis. We intend to use this quarter to
restructure our sales emphasis worldwide and introduce partner managers on a global scale. Further, as we execute these
changes, we will expand our focus to horizontal applications across industries,`` Mr. Schoneburg ended.

``I am really excited about this challenge. After gaining 20 years of sales experience around the world including the last few
years as an entrepreneur, I never expected to work as an employee for a company again. However, after speaking with
Eberhard and visiting all of the subsidiaries of Artificial Life around the globe and seeing all the great products in the pipeline, I
realized what a great opportunity I would get by joining the Company,`` said Rolf Levenhagen.

Mr. Levenhagen is also the former Managing Director of AICORP GmbH, Bad Homburg. He established the German
subsidiary of this American company specializing in knowledge-based expert systems, and quickly led the company to its
success in that market.

Finally, Mr. Levenhagen started his professional career at IBM Deutschland GmbH. During his eleven years at IBM he
contributed, among other areas, to customer service, software development, marketing, and the creation of the international
bank information system S.W.I.F.T. He was also managing distribution for CINCOM, and contributed substantially to the
successful introduction of relational database management technology and NET/MASTER software into the German market.
