Zonavi is a new company established by Telenor and one of the first companies in the North that is dedicated to interactive TV services. The company will deliver TV-services through all of Telenor`s distribution networks, and through close co-operation with service providers offer content such as entertainment, goods and services.
Today`s TV-viewer will be tomorrows active iTV-users. With interactive TV the users will be able to compose their own interactive TV schedule as they will be offered home shopping, gaming, information and messaging services. The offering will grow continuously with increased access and demand.
Zonavi will primarily address itself towards the over 1,8 MILLION households in the North which already buy services through TELENOR`s different access networks including Canal Digital. Thus Zonavi can offer it`s partners an effective channel to the consumer and the competence to enable service providers to easily take part in the exciting developments of services for interactive TV.
Interactive TV (iTV) is a growth market that has already generated great public interest in Europe. By providing a platform for access and service providers in the Nordic region, Zonavi will take a leadership role in iTV`s dynamic, tech-savvy market.
