Pace extends reach of ONdigital TV service with new digital terrestrial set-top box
UK consumers have two reasons to celebrate this week as Pace launches its fastest-ever ONdigital set-top box with advanced tuner design, for improved reception in marginal coverage areas.
Pace engineers have enhanced tuner performance to maximise the reception potential of its ONdigital set-top box. This work forms part of Pace’s commitment to continually improve the design and functionality of its set-top box technology. Performance tests prove that Pace’s new ONdigital set-top box extends the marginal coverage area and makes reception more robust for ONdigital’s digital terrestrial TV service.
Pace has also increased the speed of its digital terrestrial product, making it Pace’s fastest-ever set-top box for ONdigital’s digital terrestrial TV service. Pace’s new ONdigital set-top box will provide even faster access to on-screen menus and programming and will enable users to change channel and access ONdigital’s email service, ONmail virtually seamlessly.
Improved download speed during set-up also provides quicker and easier installation of Pace’s set-top box - further supporting ONdigital’s unique premise of ‘plug and play’ and ensuring users have almost instantaneous access to ONdigital’s TV service.
“The launch of our new ONdigital set-top box will be welcome news for all UK viewers, especially consumers living on the edge of marginal coverage areas” says Paul Ashmore, Pace’s Sales Director. “Our new technology means more consumers can now join the digital terrestrial revolution and reap the full benefits of ONdigital’s wealth of TV programming and interactive services - using the most advanced digital terrestrial set-top box technology in the world.”
Pace will launch its re-vamped terrestrial set-top box this week across a number of independent and multiple electrical retail outlets to support ONdigital’s pre-paid and rental markets.
