Aurogin Files Updated Technical Report for El Sastre Project TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 5, 2007) - Aurogin Resources Ltd. ("Aurogin" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AUQ) is pleased to announce that it has filed an independent technical report entitled "Update Report for the El Sastre Exploitation Licence, Guatemala"("the Report") on SEDAR (Http://www.sedar.com) (see Aurogin press release of November 24, 2006.) The Report was prepared by Toren K. Olson, P.Geo. of Toren Olson Consulting, Tucson, Arizona, the independent Qualified Person, to meet National Instrument 43-101 standards. The Report is also available on the Company's Website, (Http://www.aurogin.com.) It provides an updated technical review of the Company's mining project at the El Sastre Main Zone, which has recently begun production (see Aurogin press release of December 5, 2006). Aurogin Resources Ltd. is an emerging gold producer focused on the acquisition and development of profitable gold deposits in the Americas. Aurogin's 50% owned El Sastre Main Zone in Guatemala, now in production, is only one part of the overall El Sastre Project, an expanding resource that includes at least four mineralized zones. Management's current aim is to define a resource of approximately one million ounces of gold (hosted in 15 to 20 million tonnes grading 1.5 to 2.5 g/t Au) at the El Sastre Project.
