A National Market Listing by NASDAQ for Pemco Aviation Group
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan 8, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pemco Aviation Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: PAGI chart, msgs) announced today that the company has been moved back to the national market listing by NASDAQ. Showing the company`s increasing strength in the industry and marketplace, the company has been moved from the small cap NASDAQ listing to the national market listing.

Pemco`s Chairman of the Board, Michael E. Tennenbaum, stated, "This recognition by NASDAQ reflects the successful implementation of the plans that we set in place last January, and this positive feedback is encouraging. We have worked hard over the last year and we have high expectations for 2001 and beyond."

The NASDAQ Stock Market has two tiers, the NASDAQ National Market and the NASDAQ SmallCap Market. Each tier has its own set of financial requirements that a company must meet to list its securities. In addition, all listed companies are required to meet certain standards of corporate governance. Finally, each market tier has a set of financial requirements that a company must meet for continued listing.

Pemco made several announcements over the course of the previous year concerning the company`s growth, including a government contract increase for Fiscal Year 2000 as well as a contract extension for FY 2001, additional commercial contracts and an exclusive partnership agreement for commercial to cargo aircraft conversion kits.
