5/14/07 - Semen Storage Relocation Announcement

This year brings exciting news for Synbiotics Corporation and the thousands of dog owners and breeders who presently store canine semen in our Canine Semen Storage Bank. May 21, 2007 will mark a new beginning for Synbiotics, we’re relocating our U.S. headquarters, including our Canine Semen Storage Bank, from San Diego, California, to Kansas City, Missouri. The tanks will be shipping to Kansas City on May 21, 2007 and arriving on May 24, 2007.

What’s that mean to you and other dog owners and breeders who trust Synbiotics Corporation to keep your frozen canine semen safely stored in our cryogenic storage bank?

First, it means the irreplaceable canine semen you have entrusted to our safekeeping will be safer than ever before. Our new state-of-the-art cryogenic storage facility will include an expanded technical support staff, and a security system featuring alarm systems and pass-card security.

Secondly, it means your canine semen will be more readily accessible than ever to breeders. Kansas City is centrally located to all points in the U.S., and our new corporate headquarters is just minutes from Kansas City International Airport, with connections to airlines and air cargo carriers serving all major domestic and international destinations.

We have planned each step of the relocation process to maximize the safety of the canine semen stored in our semen bank. Each semen collection in our safekeeping will be shipped intact within the stainless steel cryogenic tank in which it is currently housed, complete with Freeze Center i.d. number and date, dog registration number, and breed code.

Our trained technicians will inspect each tank prior to the move to make certain each tank contains a full charge of liquid nitrogen, and the specialized transport service will reserve liquid nitrogen available as back-up. It will actually take less time to transport the tanks to Kansas City than is normally allotted to ship individual semen samples to accounts. And since the storage tanks do not require electricity, there is no possible problem with a power loss during the move.

Synbiotics Corporation has selected a professional transportation company offering extensive experience in providing seamless transport of highly sensitive cargo, including irreplaceable exhibits for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, priceless artwork, cryogenic tanks, and scientific specimens and instruments. To further assure the safety of the load, the truck and its cargo will bypass the Rocky Mountain States, traveling straight through from San Diego through Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas before reaching our new headquarters in Kansas City.

We have arranged for the most secure relocation possible. If you have any questions, we invite you to contact us 800-228-4305 or at summerb@synbiotics.com. In the meantime, the canine reproductive team at Synbiotics Corporation is making plans to introduce new canine reproduction services and educational materials to better serve your needs. You can help us identify those needs by completing and returning the brief questionnaire you’ll find enclosed with this letter.
