No News Is Good News Stocks are looking to build on the last two sessions of gains this morning. However, after the beating investors took in February they remain very suspicious of this rally, attributing it to a combination of short covering and bargain hunting. Neither of those factors is believed to be enough to sustain the up trend for very long and investors stand ready to bolt at the first sign of trouble to avoid being caught in a bear trap. However, the feeling is that if the market can finish this session higher, there is a good chance it could ride the rebound through the end of the week. As was the case yesterday, there is once again no market moving news. Given the environment of bad news that was so pervasive last month, the absence of news seems to agree with the market. mfg AmM |
