Super Nachrichten aus China für uns: 1133 [Dow Jones] China Grand Forestry (0910.HK [News / Quote]) +13.9% at HK$1.39, off earlier high HK$1.49, volume active at HK$121.4 million. Investors are happy after company hints it may drop its plan to buy biomass firm Yunnan Shenyu for HK$4 billion. Company said last night it has appointed consultant Poyry to carry out independent valuation, then the board will 'reassess the possibility' of the deal. Stock has fallen 39% so far this month, mainly because some investors consider price tag too high. China Grand Forestry said earlier this month it has the right to drop the deal without compensating Shenyu, if independent valuer finds firm's valuation below HK$4 billion.
