News@CHS@nline Digital China (0861) signs MOU for capital mgt, IT biz 2007/12/28 10:57 (Infocast News) Digital China Holdings (0861) has entered into a non-legally binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Suzhou Ventures Group Co., Ltd., an independent third party, for proposed formation of a joint-venture company, and for proposed establishment of a capital management company and a venture-capital fund, and cooperation in investment in information technology-related businesses. Pursuant to the MOU, Digital China agrees to inject its IT services business, and the JV partner agrees to inject cash, into a JV company. Digital China shall hold controlling interest in the JV company, which will principally engage in provision of IT valued-added services and innovative IT solutions that is currently carried on by Digital China. Digital China and the JV partner also intend to jointly establish a capital management company which will, as a promoter, set up a venture capital fund principally investing in IT-related businesses. Digital China may also invest in the venture capital funds managed by the JV partner as a passive investor. |
