OUTLOOK: Yahoo E4 EPS seen 15 cents vs 4 SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) - Yahoo Inc is today expected to report fourth quarter earnings of 15 cents per share, compared with 4 a year earlier, according to the consensus figure following an IBES International survey of 28 analysts. They attribute the rise to growing revenues from advertising at the web portal company and the contribution from e-commerce. Estimates ranged from 14 to 16 cents, IBES International found, while, according to unofficial or "whisper" numbers, the company is widely expected to exceed official estimates and report fourth quarter EPS of 17 cents. In the third quarter, Yahoo posted earnings of 14 cents, compared to consensus forecasts of 9 cents, with average daily page views in September up 23 pct to 385 mln, compared with forecasts of 13 pct growth. In line with previous quarters, analysts expect strong growth in page views and unique users to underpin revenues. Also, during the fourth quarter, Yahoo started moving toward a transaction-based commission model from a fee for service for online commerce. The company said orders to its Yahoo Shopping rose 385 pct from Nov 25 and Dec 25 from a year earlier.
