Hier mal ein typischer Bericht eines Users aus Holland (er ist bei http://www.home.nl/). Zeigt, wie leicht Downloadtraffic sich ungewollt aufsummieren kann. Also wenn Primacom denkt, daß für Breitband 1,5 GB/Monat an Traffic ausreichen, dann haben sie nichts aber auch gar nichts verstanden. Primacom wird so nie über die Rolle eine kleinen Nischenplayers hinauskommen. I have found some strange things though. I have all the isos now, and the md5sums match, except for disk1! I have donwloaded it twice from a couple sites here in the Netherlands and the md5sum each time is wrong, however it is exactly the same from each of the sites both times! not as each other, but the md5sum from the seawolf disk1 on ftp.xs4all.nl is the same both times i download it and the one from ftp.uunet.nl is the same both times i downloaded it, but different from each other. Someone suggested that my connection is poor, however, can it be repeatable as i have found when it is some unpredictable betwork problem? So now I downloaded the disk1 iso from finland, it`s another md5sum, i`m wasting tons of bandwith sure, but is it really my connection? when it is repeatable, could it be something else? I`m now currently wasting even more bandwith downloading it from germant, france, belgium, and 3other countries in the neighbourhood. hopefully one of them has a good md5sum. I have been getting my links from http://www.redhat.com/download/mirror.html do they check these mirror sites i wonder, to see if the isos are good or not? |
