Chinalco says Rio shares cannot be challenged LONDON, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Chinalco said in a statement on Thursday that it believes there is no basis under which its ownership of shares in Rio Tinto through an account linked to Lehman Brothers can be challenged. The statement followed a report in the Telegraph newspaper which said the shares were stuck in a Lehman custodial account in Hong Kong. The report said the Chinese authorities were trying to move the shares to another custodian. It said the shares $8 billionwere worth .
