Microsoft drops on profit worries-dealers
LONDON, June 15 (Reuters) - Software giant Microsoft Corp. shares fell in Europe on Friday amid concerns that the company might be set to join the ranks of U.S. corporates which have issued profit warnings or other negative updates, dealers said.
Microsoft declined comment.
The stock traded at $67 through the Instinet broking service by 1115 GMT, having closed at $68.90 on Wall Street.
``We saw the Philips profit warning and there was a rumour flying around that there might be a warning from Microsoft,`` said one dealer here.
