The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------<p>Ad hoc announcement: TelesensKSCL AG <DE0005299705> TelesensKSCL AG approves cost-cutting package Cologne, 15 June 2001 - Cologne-based TelesensKSCL, an international group specializing in billing and customer-care solutions, has approved a comprehensive cost-cutting programe with immediate effect. The different development departments are to be centralised and consolidated into competence centres without effecting R&D schedules. The background for this decision is the combination of the substantial growth TelesensKSCL went through last year, as a result of various acquisitions, and the subsequent downturn of the telecommunications market. The impact of these measures is that the number of staff employed by the group will be reduced by around 360 to a level of about 1,100. The cost-cutting package is anticipated to take effect in the third quarter. This is part of a comprehensive set of measures formulated by the executive board which will allow the company to breakeven on EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the full year 2001. On May 21 TelesensKSCL already announced that it would revise its planning in light of the current second quarter. Despite the anticipated second quarter results being well below expectations the company still expects sales to grow this year to around 120-125 million euros, which corresponds to an increase of 185-190 percent over last year.
