August 13, 2009 Silvermex Resources Announces Private Placement Silvermex Resources Ltd. (the "Company") announces that it has arranged a non-brokered private placement to raise gross proceeds of up to $765,000. The private placement consists of 4,500,000 units at a price of $0.17 per unit. Each unit will consist of one common share and one non-transferable share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one additional common share of the Company at a price of $0.20 for a period of 12 months from the date of closing. Finders' fees will be payable in either cash or securities in accordance with the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange Inc.
