UEC: Price Target of $6.00/Share Set by Rodman & Renshaw
Dear Shareholder,
Rodman & Renshaw initiated coverage of Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE-AMEX: UEC) on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 with a $6.00 price target and their top rating of Market Outperform (Buy). The 37-page analyst report was prepared by Alka Singh, Senior Metals & Mining Analyst.

Rodman & Renshaw, headquartered in New York, is a full-service investment bank dedicated to providing corporate finance and strategic advisory services to public and private companies. The company has been the #1 Placement Agent in terms of the aggregate number of Private-Investment-in-Public Equity (‘PIPE’) financing transactions completed every year since 2005, including 2009 year-to-date.

Ms. Singh noted that Uranium Energy Corp is ‘steadily moving towards production,’ and made several additional strong statements about the company and the uranium market:
“We are initiating coverage on Uranium Energy with a Market Outperform rating and a US$6.00 12-month target price... Our Outperform rating on the shares is based on: 1) our positive view of uranium price in the medium to long-term 2) the technical expertise of the operating team (the members of which have built almost every ISR facility in Texas) and 3) the strategy of the company to consolidate attractive uranium projects under one umbrella and to bring a new uranium mining company into production.

“We believe that gap between the performance of uranium price compared to the other commodities will have to narrow - especially in early 2010 when utilities are back in the market for securing more supply.

“ISR mining [a boon to the uranium mining industry] offers a low capital intensive production method for the uranium producers with minimal impact to the environment. The ISR process does not contaminate the underground water and in-fact during the restoration phase improves the quality of the underground water.

“We believe that the technical team that is in place is one of the best if not the best in the industry. The operating team has been involved in the development of 35 ISR projects in the US. The last major ISR project (Alta Mesa, Mesteña Uranium), South Texas put into production in early 2006 was by the members of the UEC team in Texas.

“Uranium Energy has pursued a strategy of consolidating attractive assets in Texas and is on the verge of becoming one of the few new uranium producers in the world. The company is well positioned to bring into production two ISR projects in Texas and quickly ramp up to 2 MM lbs of U3O8.
“The company has acquired eight properties in the last four years including a number of databases of drilling and exploration data. Uranium Energy is aggressively looking for development projects in South Texas where… there are a number of junior assets that are attractive currently. Many uranium mining companies including Uranium One (UUU: TSX, Market Outperform) and Uranium Resources (URRE: NASDAQ, Not Rated) have properties in Texas which are now on care and maintenance and could be targets for Uranium Energy.”

“We believe there is potential for Uranium Energy to emerge as a consolidator in the fragmented US uranium industry and to position itself as a mid-tier uranium producer over the next 3-5 years.”
