Spillover of the blazing afternoon heat.
Slow winding down of frenetic human activity.
Doing your job is only part of it.
It earn you a living.
Like the sun gives light and warmth.
But some of life`s most worthwhile things
have nothing to do with our job.
Like HP plnting thousands of trees.
You would understand
when you experience the shade.

HPCL is India`s second largest integrated oil refining and marketing Company. Our petroleum products cover a wide field, from transportation to power plants, textiles to pharmaceuticals, and consumer durables to heavy engineering.
But some of our tasks mhave had nothing to do with our businesses, and yet have been the most worthwhile things we have achieved. Like planting thousands of trees. An effort you would understand, only when you experience the shade.

The world is changing so fast it is imperative to keep moving towards better and more earth - friendly options. Working in this direction, we have even set up Diesel Hydro De sulphurisation (DHDS) units at both our refineries at a cost of over Rs 15,000 crore to reduce sulphur content in diesel.
Whether it is oil exploration, transporting energy resources or utilisation of residual fuels, it`s all about being in tune with the consumers` needs without losing sync with the earth`s needs.

Our mission is:
To have a safe, healthy and pollution - free environment in and around all our refineries, plants, facilities and other premises at all times; instill awareness in these areas, including relevant laws, in all employees, their families and the communities in which we carry out our activities.
