Banc of America upgrades Ariba NEW YORK, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Banc of America said Wednesday it upgraded its investment opinion on shares of software company Ariba Inc. to a strong buy rating from buy. -- Banc of America analyst Bob Austrian kept his price target at $225 per share of Ariba, the No. 1 maker of software that lets businesses buy supplies over the Internet. -- Austrian said his upgrade was based on underlying momentum in the electronic-procurement and business-to-business e-commerce sector. -- Ariba shares traded up 1-1/2 at 179-7/16 on Wednesday, off a high of 211 but well up from a low of 30-1/2. |
