(Nasdaq:BVSN), the leading provider of enterprise self-service applications, today announced that IBM Japan will resell BroadVision`s entire suite of enterprise self-service applications in Japan. BroadVision and EncycloSoft Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM Japan, Ltd., have signed an agreement whereby IBM Japan has the right to resell BroadVision(R) applications in Japan. As a result of the agreement, IBM Japan will be able to provide "end-to-end" BroadVision-based e-business solutions including hardware, software and integration services. IBM Japan will also provide post-sales maintenance and support to their BroadVision customers. "This announcement is evidence of the continuing strength of our alliance with IBM," said Chris Grejtak, chief marketing officer for BroadVision. "BroadVision`s presence in Japan will now benefit from IBM`s impressive reach and long experience in the Japanese market." The resale agreement is the latest enhancement to the relationship between BroadVision and IBM. The companies recently announced that BroadVision`s J2EE-enabled application platform, BroadVision One-To-One(R) Enterprise 6.0, will be fully interoperable with the IBM WebSphere application server. In addition, BroadVision`s applications will be available for IBM`s AIX operating system with support for the DB2 Universal Database in the coming months.
