Quartal verzögert? http://www.americanmachinist.com/304/News/Article/False/8691… Nordex USA Contracted for 45-MW Wind Farm 02/11/2011 Wind turbine builder Nordex USA, Inc. will develop a 45-MW wind-energy farm in Idaho for CG Power Solutions USA Inc., formerly MSE Power Systems. The project will be completed by September 2011 at a site in Power County, in the southeastern part of the state, near American Falls and Pocatello. Eighteen Nordex N100 turbines, each rated at 2.5-MW, will be manufactured and installed, and in addition Nordex is under contract for commissioning and testing the turbines. CG Power has assigned a maintenance and service agreement with the contractor, too. Specific terms and values of the order were not released. CG Power Solutions is the U.S. subsidiary of Crompton Greaves Ltd., a power transmission and distribution group based in India. CG Power has nine U.S. offices from which it provides electrical infrastructure engineering and turnkey EPC services. The Idaho project is its first domestic venture as a developer and investor of wind energy. “We are especially pleased that CG Power selected our turbines for this wind project,” stated Ralf Sigrist, President & CEO of Nordex USA. “They bring their unique expertise and reputation as one of the top companies worldwide in transmission infrastructure to this project. We also look forward to possible future collaboration for mutual benefit and for the benefit of our customers and operators.” Nordex USA is an operating subsidiary of Germany’s Nordex Energy GmbH. The N100 turbine is its latest and largest design. The CG Power project will be its third order since it began manufacturing N100 nacelles at its first domestic plant last fall, in Jonesboro, Ark. The Jonesboro operation opened in October 2010. The plant was announced in 2009 with a budget of $40-million, but part of a staged development that would eventually cost about $100 million. Nordex USA has 150 employees in the U.S. and 42 at the Jonesboro plant, but it anticipates a domestic workforce of up to 700 by 2014 as it expands production. An expansion has been planned at some future date to assemble rotor blades for windmills. |
