Sabre Resources shares soar 28% on vanadium and base metals discovery in Namibia Tuesday, November 08, 2011 by John Phillips Sabre Resources shares soar 28% on vanadium and base metals discovery in Namibia Sabre Resources (ASX: SBR) has been very well received by the market today with the company's shares up 28% intra-day, after announcing a high grade vanadium and base metals discovery at Kaskara in the Otavi Mountainland, northern Namibia. Broad zones of vanadium, lead, zinc and copper mineralisation have been encountered in a network of underground tunnels. The highlight was 13 metres at 2.87% vanadium, 7.43% lead, 2.89% zinc and 0.42% copper from a channel sample. This result augments the nearby drillhole which produced 21.85 metres at 2.52% vanadium, 5.79% lead, 1.81% zinc and 0.45% copper from 54 metres. The news flow for Sabre is set to increase over the short term, with follow-up programs of sampling and mapping already underway |
