At $800/oz cash cost and $1,700/oz gold, operating cash flow will be between $18 and $27M. There is potential to develop additional mineable reserves at the QR Mine to boost that production to 50 Koz in 2012. It's waiting for results on 33 more holes. One hole at Cow Mountain returned 52 meters of 14.2 grams/ton (g/t) gold. Within 24 months we would expect over 100 Koz of annual production. At a conservative $3,000/oz, we've got a $300M value to the company, which triples its $90M market cap."

So, nachdem ich den obigen Artikel aus "The Gold Report" eingestellt hatte, gab es hier ja einige Verwirrung von "Fuenfvorzwoelf" und anderen über die $3000/oz. Aussage.
Hiermit hatte Bo Chew vom Magna Opportunity Fund allerdings nicht den zur Bewertung herangezogenen Goldpreis gemeint, sondern die Markkapitalisierungsbewertung pro jährlich geförderter Unze.
Ich hatte Bo Chew daraufhin kontaktiert, um eine Bestätigung zu erhalten. Hier ist seine Antwort (hat leider etwas gedauert):
“In regards to Barkerville Gold Mines being valued at a conservative $3,000/oz annual gold production in 24 months, we will compare it to San Gold Corporation. San Gold is expected to produce 100,000 oz gold in 2012 at Rice Lake in Manitoba with cash costs at $769 / oz as of Q3 2011. Production is increasing to 120,000 oz in 2013. With San Gold currently trading at a $470M market-cap this equates to $3,900/oz annual 2013 production. Keep in mind that this is based on today`s oversold gold market and $1,685 gold. Thanks.”
Bo Chew hat also eine Produktions-Marktkapitalisierungs-Bewertung vorgenommen und Barkerville mit San Gold verglichen.
San Gold wird in 2013 geplante 120.000 Unzen produzieren und ist heute mit $470 Mio. Marktkapitalisierung bewertet, jede produzierte Unze steht also für $3900 Marktkapitalisierung.
In seiner Berechnung für Barkerville geht er von 100.000 produzierten Unzen in 2013 aus und würde diese vergleichsweise konservativ mit "NUR" $3000/Unze Marktkapitalisierung (!!!) bewerten und erhält so eine "Ziel-Marktkapitalisierung" von $300 Mio. für Barkerville, was einer mehr als Verdreifachung vom heutigen Stand ($90 Mio.) bedeutet !
Ich hoffe, dies hat die Konfusion über die $3000/Unze Aussage bereinigt !
Oder hatte hier wirklich jemand geglaubt, dass ein seriöser Analyst eine Firma HEUTE auf Basis von $3000 Goldpreis bewertet ?
In 3-4 Jahren können wir uns allerdings diesbezüglich nochmal wiedersprechen, dann werden diese Größenordnungen durchaus realistisch sein !
