Group sales according to IAS rose in the period October 2000 to June 2001 over the prior year period from Euro 6.6 million to Euro 38.0 million. This marked expansion was fostered by the inclusion of ComLine GmbH, Harrislee nr. Flensburg, a value- added distributor acquired in October 2000, in the consolidated figures for the first time. In the period under review, this company posted sales of Euro 28.1 million. Moreover, Datasave`s core business has performed very well. Sales in this segment soared 52 percent from Euro 6.5 million to Euro 9.9 million. On the basis of this appreciable increase in business volume, in the period under review the Company has likewise substantially improved its earnings situation. The Group EBT according to IAS rose from a loss of Euro 1.9 million in the year before period to earnings of Euro 0.03 million. The net loss for the period came to Euro 0.1 million, as against a loss of Euro 2.4 million as at June 30, 2000. The loss per Datasave share according to DVFA came to Euro 0.02 as compared with Euro 0.26 as at June 30, 2000. The outlook for the coming months remains optimistic overall. Demand in the core business of software for online and mail-order commerce remains good. By contrast, the new ComLine subsidiary has for several weeks more keenly felt the restraint in the hardware distribution sector and will therefore not quite reach its full-year targets. Despite the impact of this, this business year the Datasave Group will grow appreciably. As regards Group sales, a rise from Euro 14.9 million to some Euro 55 million (previous estimate: Euro 61 million) is anticipated. The prior year`s loss before taxes of Euro 2.4 million will turn around and Datasave expects to post a profit of Euro 1.5 million (previous estimate: Euro 2.9 million).
end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 31.08.2001 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WKN: 551 950; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart
311115 Aug 01

Autor: DGAP import (),11:17 31.08.2001
|
