The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------<p>Vienna, November 27, 2001 - Telekom Austria (VSE: TKA; NYSE: TKA) announced today its financial results for the first nine months 2001:<p>- Total managed revenues of Telekom Austria Group (including Mobilkom Austria) increased by 1.1% to EUR 2,950.5 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 2,918.5 million). Total managed group EBITDA rose by 37.4 % to EUR 1,163.6 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 847.1 million). EBITDA is defined as operating income excluding depreciation, amortization and costs for idle workforce. - In the fixed line segment revenues declined by 7.1 % to EUR 1,862.2 (1-9 m 2000: EUR 2,004.5 million). EBITDA rose by 50.7 % to EUR 690.2 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 458.0 million). - In mobile communications, revenues rose by 13.9 % to EUR 1,271.8 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 1,116.6 million). EBITDA rose by 34.9 % to EUR 460.6 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 341.5 million). - In data communications revenues increased by 4.4 % to EUR 238.6 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 228.6 million). EBITDA amounted to EUR 34.0 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 42.6 million). - Revenues in the Internet segment reached EUR 62.3 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 43.2 million) and EBITDA amounted to EUR -21.4 million (1-9 m 2000: EUR 5.0 million).<p>The consolidated figures of Telekom Austria AG, which include Mobilkom Austria at equity show in the first nine months of the year 2001 revenues of EUR 2,001.0 million, which represents a decrease of 5.5 % compared to the same period of 2000 (1-9 m 2000: EUR 2,117.2 million). Operating income rose from EUR -169.0 million in the first nine months of the year 2001 to EUR 8.2 million.
