THE AUSTRALIANMAY 19, 2016 12:00AM Recently listed telecoms company Amaysim has drafted in boutique investment bank Investec as its defence adviser as it remains at the centre of takeover speculation. Discussion in the market that the business could be swallowed by a suitor was first flagged in this column in March, and talk continues that the company could be within the sights of Optus. Optus did not comment and Amaysim said there had been no discussion with the telco. Investec was the adviser to Amaysim when it was floated last year, while Macquarie Capital and Goldman Sachs were the joint lead managers on the deal. |
