Cubic Board Sets Special Meeting for Stock Split Approval


SAN DIEGO, Feb 25, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cubic Corp (AMEX: CUB) today
announced that the company`s Board of Directors has set a special shareholders`
meeting for April 17, 2002 to ratify a three-for-one split of the company`s
common stock.

The board announced its approval of the stock split on February 13 at the
company`s Annual Shareholders` Meeting, saying that the decision was subject to
shareholder approval. If ratified, the split will be implemented as soon as is
practicable.

The April 17 special meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. PDST in the Main
Conference Room at the company`s headquarters at 9333 Balboa Ave., San Diego.

The Cubic Transportation Systems Group designs and manufactures automatic fare
collection systems for public mass transit, including rail and buses throughout
the world. The Cubic Defense Group provides instrumented air and ground combat
training systems, battle command training simulations, and simulation support
