SAN JOSE, Calif. – March 12, 2002 – Telcontar, the provider of a leading software platform for location-based services, today announced that Yahoo!, Inc., a leading global Internet communications, commerce and media company, used Telcontar’s software platform to develop the location-based services for its new Yahoo!® Maps web site (http://maps.yahoo.com). The advanced location-based services Yahoo! developed with Telcontar’s Drill Down Server include improved driving directions, route calculation time and map rendering, as well as more complete geographic data.
