[posting]59469180[/posting]Mal wieder nur ad-hom. Selbstverstaendlich haette das Hockeystick-Team laengst publiziert, wenn McIntyre einen Fehler gemacht haette, und er haette diesen dann korrigiert. Hat er aber nicht, sind ja auch wieder triviale Tricks von Rahmstorf, die man mit der Anleitung McIntyres in ein paar Minuten fasifizieren kann. So bleibt es dabei: Rahmstorfs Trick hat das Ergebnis ins Gegenteil verdreht, dass die Datenreihe eben auf dem staerksten Wert fuer den Golfstrom endet und bei Beruecksichtigung der vollstaendingen Daten die Eignung der Proxies sowieso bezweifelt werden muss, was ja nichts Neues ist, sondern ein seit 20 Jahren immer wiederkehrendes Thema. Die Hockeystick-Diskussion und die vielfaeltigen aber auch immer wieder gleichen Fehler in den 'Studien' des Hockeystick-Teams wurde schon bis zum Erbrechen diskutiert. Werde ich mit dir sicher nicht noch einmal tun, denn ich halte dich fuer einen voellig unglaubwuerdigen Akteur hier. Auf der anderen Seite ist die kritiserte 'Wissenschaft' dort so unterirdisch schlecht, dass viele Kritiker sich allein deshalb zurueckgezogen haben, weil man keine Zeit mehr mit solchen Erguessen verbringen wollte. Schon damals versuchte man, McIntyre/McKitrick ad-hom als 'biased amateurs' abzutun. Die Top Statistiker der Untersuchungskommission haben dagegen das Gegenteil bestaetigt. Eine vollstaendig korrekte Kritik McIntyres und abenteuerlich schlechte und primitive Studien auf Seite des Hockeystick Teams und keinerlei Bereitschaft, Fehler einzugestehen. P.S: Damals schon wurde davor gewarnt, Gray Bill Bristlecones als Proxies zu verwenden. It is not clear that Dr. Mann and his associates even realized that their methodology was faulty at the time of writing the [Mann] paper. We found MBH98 and MBH99 to be somewhat obscure and incomplete and the criticisms of MM03/05a/05b to be valid and compelling. ... Generally speaking, the paleoclimatology community has not recognized the validity of the [McIntyre and McKitrick] papers and has tended dismiss their results as being developed by biased amateurs. The paleoclimatology community seems to be tightly coupled as indicated by our social network analysis, has rallied around the [Mann] position, and has issued an extensive series of alternative assessments most of which appear to support the conclusions of MBH98/99… Our findings from this analysis suggest that authors in the area of paleoclimate studies are closely connected and thus ‘independent studies’ may not be as independent as they might appear on the surface. |
