(TROW) reported an increase in its first-quarter profit, despite revenue being almost flat, as the company recorded more than $200 million in net gains on investments and investment products. Net income rose 13% to $512.6 million. Earnings were $2.09 a share, up from $1.77 a share. Analysts polled by Refinitiv were expecting $1.65 a share. Adjusted earnings were $1.87 a share, up from $1.74 a share. Analysts were expecting $1.68 a share. Net revenue was $1.327 billion, compared with $1.328 billion a year ago. Analysts were expecting $1.29 billion.
