Afternoon all, Given that we haven't had a company update for close to a month, I took the liberty of phoning our Company Secretary late yesterday afternoon to see how AVZ is progressing. Key points from the conversation are as follows: *LM first of all mentioned that they have been "very busy" and sounded particularly upbeat (more so than when I spoke to him 5-6 weeks ago). *Much of their time has been taken up with "OT negotiations". *Obviously due to the 'commercial in confidence' nature of these discussions, LM was unable to divulge with who exactly, but he alluded to several big name players currently at the table (including non-Chinese), and allegedly the feedback has been that AVZ have made quite the impression with their data & discussions to date (with some of the negotiations now at an advanced stage). *Cash position remains healthy and was again told that AVZ remain "fully funded through to DFS", and that any further investment in the company in the near term would likely come from a strategic partner. *New batch of Phase 1 Met Test results are apparently in, they have been assessing the data and are likely to be in a position to provide an update next week. *De-watering of the Roche Dure pit continues and they have been playing catch-up with the help of a bigger pump onsite. LM wasn't exactly sure when the de-watering would be complete (can't blame him, he has enough on his plate atm), but the plan was to gain dry access to the pit prior to the wet season. He suggested that I speak with Graeme Johnston next week (as he is back in Perth for a bit) so if he has any further insights to share then I will gladly pass these on. Overall, LM seemed to be in a cheerful mood and was very pleased with the progress that AVZ have been making recently. He mentioned that he was particularly enjoying his job atm and given that he has allegedly invested $60K of his own coin into the company in recent times (see below tweet from fellow investor Jens Soderland), that in itself is a great sign IMO. https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/time-for-deals-now.4927798/… |
