4:09pm 06/18/02 Oracle beats earnings target (ORCL) By Mike Tarsala Oracle (ORCL) beat earnings and revenue targets for its fiscal-fourth-quarter. The software company`s net income was $760 million, or 14 cents a share, excluding an impairment charge related to Oracle`s investment in Liberate Technologies. The company earned 15 cents a share a year ago. Analysts had expected earnings of 12 cents a share, on average, according to Thomson Financial/First Call. Sales were $2.8 billion, down from the same quarter last year, but above analyst targets. Shares of Oracle fell 27 cents to close at $8.93 in regular Nasdaq trading. Aktuell 10,29 +14% SK 8,97$ |
