APL,

Explain to me how TA was the first to have a database of Czech republic when NT announced that they offered Czech republic (to their providers, through VDO, and Becker) in April of this year.

Just another example of TA living in their own little world and thinking that investors and players in the industry pay no attention to the whole market.

NAVIGATION TECHNOLOGIES UNVEILS FIRST EASTERN EUROPEAN NAVIGABLE DIGITAL MAPS

Chicago, IL April 1, 2002 -- Navigation Technologies, a leading provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation, Internet / wireless applications and business solutions, today announced NAVTECH® maps are now available for the Czech Republic and Slovakia for the first time. With this release, Navigation Technologies is introducing the first navigable digital maps of any Eastern European countries.
The Czech Republic is a critical addition to NAVTECH maps given the number of major European roads that pass through the Czech Republic and are integral to routing throughout Western Europe. With the availability of Czech Republic NAVTECH maps, seamless direct routing from points in Germany to Austria, for example, is now possible for the first time.

Augmenting Navigation Technologies` detailed coverage of Western Europe, the new digital map of the Czech Republic features detailed coverage of Prague, including street names, municipal boundaries, and points of interest--plus the primary connector road network throughout the Czech Republic. It also includes coverage of 13 county capitals known as "Kraj-cities." Every major road is available, enabling long haul routes. The Slovakia release features major European roads and allows seamless routing from major cities to a variety of destinations.

The completion of both digital maps offers seamless mapping guidance from Austria (Vienna) to Bratislava, or, conversely, a direct route from Bratislava to Germany through the Czech Republic, via its capitol city, Prague.

"As a global company, Navigation Technologies` strategy is to expand coverage into strategic areas to meet growing market demands, while maintaining the detailed coverage in our existing digital maps as well," said John MacLeod, Executive Vice President, North American and World Markets, Navigation Technologies Corporation.
