Lebanon, NH --Geographic Data Technology, Inc., a developer of premier map databases, and Telcontar, provider of the premier software platform for location-based services (LBS), today announced a strategic partnership that will enable a closer weaving of geographic data and mobile location-based services. This partnership provides LBS and telematics users an optimized software and data solution with complete and up-to-date North American street and address coverage for geocoding and routing applications.
The agreement builds on a strong existing relationship between the two companies that has already resulted in successful North American LBS implementations at companies such as ATX Technologies, Vicinity Corporation, and Yahoo! Maps. Under the terms of the agreement, both GDT and Telcontar will participate in product development efforts designed to increase compatibility between Telcontar`s software tools and GDT`s street network products. The two companies will also demonstrate a joint software and data solution to prospective customers and will participate in joint sales and marketing activities.
