Industry Leaders to Offer Customers Combined Product Offering with Outstanding Value
Chicago, IL – Telcontar, the provider of the premier software platform for location-based services (LBS), and Tele Atlas North America, Inc., a worldwide leading provider of digital map data, today announced a worldwide sales and marketing agreement to offer prospective customers a streamlined LBS solution with outstanding value. Companies in North America and Europe will be able to purchase combined product offerings from the two industry leaders that will enable them to rapidly develop wireless, telematics, and Internet-based LBS applications.
“Combining the strengths of Telcontar and Tele Atlas simplifies procurement, speeds development, improves solution quality and reduces project risk for our customers while leveraging the strengths both companies have to offer. LBS and telematics service providers and integrators will now have access to a combined software and data solution to use in developing and distributing their products and services. The Tele Atlas map and traffic content will be tested with and formatted for use in the Telcontar Drill Down Server and Traffic Manager products, reducing testing time and development risk. The agreement also calls for close cooperation between the respective field sales forces, and creation of product bundles that permit customers to purchase from a single source, reducing their procurement time and technical support complexity.
