ABB to reorganise CE unit under Chapter 11, sees closure costs of $1.1 billion ABB Ltd said it is in talks with US asbestos plaintiffs over the reorganisation of its Combustion Engineering (CE) unit under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. "The precise ultimate cost of closure remains uncertain, but ABB currently expects the cost of final closure will comprise CE`s assets of $812 million and an additional amount in the range of $300 million, payable by ABB over a period of several years" it said.
