Interwoven Content Management Solutions Selected by Commerce One to Enable Enterprise-wide Automation of XML-Driven Content Publishing
Interwoven TeamSite and TeamSite Templating to Empower Hundreds of Commerce One Web Contributors
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2000-- Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class Web content management software, today announced that Commerce One (Nasdaq: CMRC), the leader in global e-commerce solutions for business, has selected Interwoven TeamSite to manage the development of content for Commerce One`s site available at www.commerceone.com, and Commerce One MarketSite(tm) Global Trading Portal, the U.S. portal for exchanging goods and services among businesses worldwide, available at http://www.marketsite.net. Web content, from rich multimedia files to XML code, will be managed within a single content architecture that will facilitate content reuse between the Web sites.

"Commerce One`s rapidly growing Web properties require continuous content contribution and publishing," said Judy Harris, CIO of Commerce One. "We believe that Interwoven TeamSite will allow us to automate much of that process by simultaneously empowering more content contributors and maintaining central control through workflow."

Interwoven provides an inclusive content architecture that will allow Commerce One to integrate all existing content, including XML documents, while ensuring content integrity. As a leader in XML-based Web B2B applications, Commerce One created XML Common Business Library (xCBL), an industry standard, that allows companies to trade with each other, anytime through end-to-end system integration and open XML document exchange. TeamSite software can not only manage XML content, but it can also leverage XML to allow for easy content re-purposing and to separate form from content with TeamSite Templating.

"By harnessing the power of XML, Commerce One has created adaptive building blocks for building XML-based Web B2B applications," said Jeffrey Engelmann, vice president of product marketing and technology partners for Interwoven. "By leveraging TeamSite`s ability to handle XML content, Commerce One will be able to further automate the publishing and re-purposing of XML-driven content."

Relevant, timely and compelling content are the three success factors for eBusiness. Commerce One expects to streamline their content development and accelerate its "time-to-Web" using TeamSite by allowing both technical and non-technical contributors to develop and test Web content prior to publishing.
