Hallo, hier auszugsweise infos von ABN-AMRO AST in Bangkok über
Moody´s und TFI. Die Meldungen sind von heute, leider nur auf englisch.

Moody`s should complete its review of Thailand`s sovereign rating over the next one to three months.
If Thailand`s sovereign rating moves, it will be up to Baa3, which is investment grade. This would obviously
be positive for sentiment, although Moody`s remains concerned about the level of public sector debt.

Thai Farmers Bank has agreed to sell 10.3m shares in Siam Pulp and Paper for B95 per share to Siam
Cement. The sale represents 6.6% of the paper company`s shares. The total proceeds from the sale
will be B981m. We expect the bank to realise a small capital gain of about B200m, probably to be booked in 2Q00.
This gain represents only B0.1 per share, so it will not have a material impact on either the bank`s earnings or book
value. It is positive, though, in that such divestitures represent the bank focussing on its core banking business.
In the past, Thai banks became involved in too many non-related businesses.
TFB wurde heute erneut als Kauf eingestuft.

ciao
