OTC Journal: Dan, there is a 100% chance of thoughts on CALY coming soon, because I am going to share them now. In two recent editions I stated you should avoid this stock for the time being. The March 29th edition comes to mind. CALY has one of the most exciting technologies I have ever covered- the only company in the world with an FDA Approved AIDS test kit which uses urine instead of blood. The advantages over blood testing are many. Unfortunately, after nine months of coverage, I finally became convinced shareholders do not have a chance until the company stops funding its needs with toxic issuances of stock. As I stated in the March 29th edition, the stock will just keep grinding lower. Calypte continues paying consultants by issuing free trading shares in boatloads. Last count- the company had issued about 150 million shares, but it is probably much higher by now. Each time, the company grants options with an exercise below the market price. The consultants exercise the options, and the company gets the cash. No matter how low the stock goes, someone owns it cheaper and can sell at a profit. The company has also done several convertible financings with the same picture. No matter how low the stock goes, someone has it at a lower price than the current market. At one point they actually ran out of stock, but they fixed that problem by authorizing more. Recently the company announced Magic Johnson had joined the Board Of Directors. The stock bounced for one day on huge volume, and headed south again. If the company can obtain financing from an industry partner who wants a piece of the technology, not an investment in the stock, you could make money. If that happens I`ll start covering the stock again. Until that happens- avoid.
