Hier der genaue Fundbericht:
The Subranum Concession (Prospecting Licence PL0022/97) straddles 12 kilometres
of the highly prospective sheared eastern contact of the Sefwi Bibiani Gold
Belt. This contact represents the northern strike extent of the same shear
zone that hosts Ashanti Goldfield`s 250,000 oz per year Bibiani Gold Mine.
The Sefwi Bibiani Gold Belt has historically produced over 5 million ounces of
gold and currently hosts combined reported gold resources of 15 million ounces
at Bibiani, Yanfo-Ntotoroso and the Chirano Gold Project.
The Subranum Gold Project sits on the main Bibiani shear, like Bibiani and
Chirano and has potential to develop into a large tonnage, moderate grade gold
resource. Extensive exploration throughout the 72.3 sq km concession has
already outlined a 5 kilometre gold target, with the remaining 7 kilometres of
potential strike length remaining relatively unexplored.
Cambrian Mining is currently conducting a detailed infill geochemical
soil-sampling programme on the northern strike extension of the known gold
mineralisation straddling the main Bibiani Shear. On completion of this
soil-sampling programme, detailed geochemical data will cover a continuous 12km
strike of the Bibiani Shear. Current exploration also entails an extensive
trenching programme to designed to extend known high-grade surface gold
mineralisation on the main targets to the south.
Previous exploration on Subranum has comprised 6,784 grided geochemical soil
samples, 37 trenches totalling nearly 5,000 metres to a depth of 3 metres and
22 Reverse Circulation drill holes (1,038 metres).
A 400 m x 50 m spaced geochemical gold in soil sampling programme has been
conducted over the entire concession resulting in delineating a 9.5 kilometre
by 1.5 kilometre wide soil anomaly at +30 ppb. Closer 100 metre x 25 metre
soil sampling has identified three highly prospective gold zones. These three
gold zones were trenched to a depth of 3 metres with significant results
including:
TR18: 1.96 g/t Au over 30 metres
TR13: 1.90 g/t Au over 28 metres
TR23: 1.02 g/t Au over 30 metres,
TR24: 1.86 g/t Au over 8 metres,
TR25: 1.34 g/t Au over 8 metres and 0.97 g/t Au over 18 metres
TR29: 8.05 g/t Au over 4 metres
TR35: 0.98 g/t Au over 22 metres (incl 2.98 g/t Au over 6 metres)
TR37: 1.76 g/t Au over 10 metres
TR14: 0.72 g/t Au over 52 metres.
Significant RC drilling intersections in the these 3 areas returned numerous
significant gold intersections including:
SBRC4: 4 metres grading 47.08 g/t Au (incl 1 metre grading 180.5 g/t Au) from 7
metres.
SBRC2: 6 metres grading 7.25 g/t Au from 15 metres
SBRC15: 17 metres grading 1.36 g/t Au from 48 metres.
The agreement with Investika is subject to formal documentation.
