      Universal Express Questions Airline Reorganizations
Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP), in its continued effort to create safer and easier travel for Americans, questioned the reasons that so many well-run airlines are filing for bankruptcy protection.

A recent Times Magazine article, "How to Fix the Airline Mess," indicated three major concerns (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1106337,00.… Another article from the Salt Lake Tribune, "Fuel Costs Tank Airline," discusses Delta`s recent bankruptcy filing. (http://www.sltrib.com/ci_3039968)

"Like bracing for hurricanes instead of combining scientific ideas to alter their intensity or direction, Americans are being told that the airline industry is simply a flawed business model. Nothing could be farther from the truth," said Richard Altomare, CEO and Chairman of Universal Express, Inc.

"What`s being disregarded, or, to date, misunderstood, is an alternative way to solve the reasons for the financial problems. Do it differently! My position paper, read into the Congressional record, (http://www.usxp.com/securitywp.pdf) lays out a cost effective, efficient and innovative way to avoid these continued bankruptcies," continued Mr. Altomare.

"The key is lighter flights, fuel savings, lower governmental airport costs, and creating a new airline revenue stream as well as job creation for our airline industry. Luggage traveling separately from passengers is the answer. Luggage picked up and delivered to travelers` end destination insures airport safety and airline financial stability, as well as massive fuel savings. I`ll not sit silently by while resistance to trying a sensible, yet different, solution goes unheeded," continued Richard Altomare.

"The public itself has been embracing our Luggage Express service along with multiple other competitor companies that have brought ease back into the travel experience. I`m concerned about our airline industry repeating the same patterns over and over again, including now defaulting on governmental loans. It`s time for us to begin demanding innovative leadership on all economic fronts. Our airlines must alter their behavior to expect a different future for themselves and our country," concluded Mr. Altomare.

The Coalition for Luggage Security Responds to Secret Government Plan on Nation`s Transportation Security
The Coalition for Luggage Security today responded to a series of articles published in the New York Times concerning the government`s secret plan to bolster transportation systems outside of the airlines.

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/national/AP-Transit-Security…
      http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/politics/politics-security-tr…

Richard A. Altomare, Founder and Chairman of the Coalition for Luggage Security and CEO of Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP) comments, "If we keep the transportation security debate closed, we risk limiting the creativity that would result from an open discussion of ideas. The rush to put into place airline security after 911 has resulted in a huge growth in government personnel and expenditures along commonly accepted process and procedures that do not solve the root problems. We need new ideas, and public debate will go a long way in producing them."

"We call on the administration and legislative bodies to view our white paper entitled `More Safety, Less Hassle for American Travelers: A Private Sector Solution for the Airline Industry,` where the Coalition has expanded in detail on a solution. (http://www.usxp.com/securitywp.pdf). Even though the document concentrates on the airline industry, the economics provided shows how savings can be directed to other mass transit sectors," said Harvey Abelson, Coalition Director

Universal Express Rolls Out HANDLES-05(TM) Software
Universal Express Inc. (OTCBB: USXP), announced today that Handles-05(TM) system rollout will begin in October. The starting point will be the complete functionality of the core modules of the program as it relates to the database and the contact manager. Implementation will continue over the next few months until completion, which is planned for January 2006.

"Imagine a software system the size and scope of the major carriers, and yet created and operated by a company not even one tenth that size. The Handles-05(TM) system will have all of the capabilities, depth and functionality of any system currently in use in the logistics industry. As previously announced, this system is being developed and tested by USXP`s IT team. Besides being able to dramatically increase our functionality, it will prove to be the final piece to our consolidator shipping and luggage puzzle," said Jorge Esguerra, Information Technology Project Manager.

"USXP has postal locations in its Postal Trade Association (UniversalPost), courier companies in its courier association (Universal Express Courier Association) and a growing luggage business in Luggage Express and Virtual Bellhop. Our 15% to 40% discounted consolidation shipping announcement in March 2005 has been met with challenges that Handles 05 should be able to address," stated Richard Altomare, CEO and Chairman of Universal Express, Inc.

"We anticipated that those potential association customers would overcome their mandatory minimum contracts with existing carriers, that we could establish comparable credit terms and longer periods to pay the invoices," said Cecilia Vesnesky, Logistics Director of Luggage Express.

"Our opportunities remain remarkably bullish; yet the compatible software challenges have taken us longer than initially quoted to complete our task. There have been numerous technical issues that required our unique facilitation. Our ability to download airway bills and sell luggage territories is huge in this industry and supports our original estimates. We could have attempted a short term solution, yet we decided on the longer more thorough creation. Our sales have improved weekly, and we should experience expansive growth upon the launch of Handles-05(TM)," said Mariano Guerrero, Director of Operations.

"Our consolidator program although now better poised for vast revenue growth has not yet achieved the potential we anticipated. We remain flexible and properly positioned to this ever changing market, and now with Handles-05(TM) we are poised to accomplish more than we had initially hoped. This new software program will provide our couriers, customers, postal stores and partners all of the functionality that they may never have imagined possible," continued Richard Altomare.

"UniversalPost, Universal Express Courier and Luggage Express have begun redefining the way stores and couriers have shipped and are paid. Our new software will prove itself worthy of the wait, and qualifies as a milestone in the development of Universal Express," concluded Mr. Altomare.
