http://www.victoriaoilandgas.com/management.htm

Gas Distribution Protocol Signed with Gazprom
• Protocol agreed with Gazprom subsidiary as first step in securing a long term gas off-take arrangement
• Gazprom subsidiary to provide technical assistance to Victoria
• Two further wells to be drilled at West Medvezhye during 1st Half 2006
Victoria Oil & Gas Plc (`Victoria` or `the Company`) the AIM-quoted oil and gas company focused on the Former Soviet
Union, today announces that it has signed a protocol with Gazprom subsidiary Nadymgazprom (`NGP`) outlining terms for
future discussion regarding the distribution of gas through its transportation system from the Company`s West Medvezhye
gas and condensate project (`the Project`) located in Western Siberia, Russia.
Protocols are part of the conventional Russian process of negotiating a binding contract, but are not, in and of
themselves, legally binding. This protocol is the first step in securing long term gas off-take agreements with Gazprom.
Gazprom subsidiary NGP has agreed that, following a successful well test and reserve reclassification, it will initiate
negotiations with Victoria for the transportation, storage and marketing of gas from the Project. NGP has also agreed to
provide assistance to Victoria, in the near-term, with further subsurface interpretation of the Project and procurement
of technical equipment.
Gazprom is the world`s largest gas company and is the owner and operator of Russia`s only gas pipeline network, the
Unified Gas Supply System (`UGSS`). All gas produced in Russia, either by Gazprom itself or by independent producers, is
transported through the UGSS to customers inside and outside Russia. NGP is directly responsible for all Gazprom`s gas
exploration and production operations, transportation, storage and marketing activities in the Nadym region of Western
Siberia.
Commenting today Executive Director William Kelleher said, `The terms agreed in today`s protocol are broad, but the
lines of communication and negotiation are now officially open. This marks the start of the process for agreeing with
Gazprom access for Victoria to the world`s largest gas distribution and marketing system.`
In November 2005, independent reservoir auditors DeGolyer & MacNaughton confirmed expected recoverable resource volume
estimates for the field surrounding the discovery Well 104 of half a trillion cubic feet of gas (0.5 TCF). These
expected recoverable resources are to be confirmed by well testing in the first quarter of this year.
Further to the testing of Well 104 the Company intends to drill two further obligation wells at West Medvezhye, an
appraisal well to delineate further the field around Well 104 and a new exploration well to test a separate structure on
the licence.
During this period DeGolyer & MacNaughton are also expected to release a revision to their 2001 feasibility study on the
Project, including revised resource volume estimates and cash flow forecasts.

Updated Feasibility Study Issued for West Medvezhye Gas Project, Russia
DeGolyer & MacNaughton, independent reserve auditors, as part of an updated feasibility study on the West Medvezhye project in Western Siberia report prospective recoverable resource volumes of :
o 5.5 trillion cubic feet of gas
o 146 million barrels of gas condensate
o 25 million barrels of oil
Total prospective recoverable hydrocarbon resource volume for the entire licence block of 1.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent*
The Board of Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ("Victoria" or "the Company") the AIM-quoted oil and gas development company focused in the Former Soviet Union today announces that DeGolyer & MacNaughton ("D&M"), the independent reserve auditors, have issued an updated feasibility study on the Company’s wholly-owned West Medvezhye gas and gas condensate project in Western Siberia, Russia. This study is a revision of that issued in December 2001.
D&M reports best estimate prospective recoverable gas resource volume of 5.5 trillion cubic feet for the entire West Medvezhye licence area. Also identified are prospective recoverable liquid hydrocarbon resource volumes of 146 million barrels of gas condensate and 25 million barrels of oil. The total combined prospective recoverable hydrocarbon resource volume estimate for West Medvezhye is 1.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent. These estimated prospective recoverable resources are dependent on successful discovery and development of the prospects evaluated.
Please click here for a full copy of the feasibility study, which includes a scope of investigation, the source of information and the classification of resources.
Victoria is currently undertaking well testing at its discovery well, Well 104 and drilling operations at two new wells, 106 and 103. Test results for Well 104 are anticipated in the first quarter of this year. Mobilisation of drilling equipment is being completed at appraisal Well 106 and exploration Well 103 with drilling to commence next month at both locations. Test results for these two wells are expected during the second quarter 2006.
Commenting on the feasibility study today, Executive Director William Kelleher said, "This is truly exciting news. D&M’s conclusions independently confirm a significant prospective recoverable resource volume of 5.5 trillion cubic feet of gas and 170 million barrels of recoverable liquids for the entire West Medvezhye licence, including the Well 104 discovery (referred to as the Danniella accumulation). We are on target to obtain the well test results from discovery Well 104 in Q1 and Wells 106 and Well 103 in Q2 2006."
• A method of equating oil, gas and natural gas liquids. Gas is converted to oil based on its relative energy content at the rate of six thousand cubic feet of gas to one barrel of oil.

Meinung dazu von ATON:
Oil & Gas. Victoria Oil & Gas. New resources appraisal triggers rally
Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG) yesterday provided new details on the latest DeGolyer& MacNaughton feasibility study of the company`s West Medvezhye field. According to the audit results, the field contains 156bcm of natural gas and 160mn bbls of crude oil and gas condensate in the category of prospective recoverable resources (which approximates SPE`s P3 or "possible" classification).
The latest appraisal revaluation of the resources at West Medvezhye sent the company`s share price up more than 55% yesterday to close at $4.19; the stock has now risen almost four-fold since the first D&M appraisal results were revealed at the end of last year.
VOG`s market cap of $410mn at the close of business yesterday implies a valuation of $0.36/boe of recoverable resources. Assuming an average 30% resource recovery ratio VOG is trading at about a $1.1/boe of potential probable reserves, a substantial discount to peers and recent deal multiples even though most of its reserves at Medvezhye are gas (which trade at a lower reserve multiple than liquid hydrocarbons). The next developments to look forward to are news on the two planned exploratory wells (expected to be completed in 1H06) and the outcome of pipeline access negotiations with Gazprom. Assuming VOG secures pipeline access, we believe the stock`s strong performance may be sustained going forward.
We have no formal recommendation on VOG shares.
