Cascade Updates Completion Program of the " 7-1" Well at Bolloque

TUCSON, AZ, Jan 12, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Cascade Energy, Inc. (CSCE), today wishes to update the ongoing completion program at the Bolloque " 7-1" well. The Company has been informed by the operator that the work-over rig arrived on site last week and the crew has begun the perforation and testing of the well. The " 7-1" well testing program is estimated to take 7 to 10 days.

The engineered completion program will test multiple hydrocarbon bearing zones indicated on logs in the 1,055 metre (3,462 feet) well by perforating and testing for commercially viable oil in the Leduc Formation and natural gas in the Wabamun. The project is located 60 miles north of Edmonton, Alberta in the Leduc area where prolific oil fields south of Bolloque contain wells that produce oil at rates of several hundred barrels per day and include individual wells that have cumulatively produced over one million barrels of oil.

Cascade and the operator are also preparing well tie-in scenarios if the completion program is successful by establishing a well that can produce oil or natural gas at commercial rates.
