GP ENERGY RECEIVES FINAL PAYMENT FROM SPYGLASS FOR SOUTH CEDAR CREEK
Gold Point Energy Corp. has received the final payment for land, geology and seismic fees under the South Cedar Creek exploration agreement with Spyglass Cedar Creek LP of San Antonio, Tex. In total, Spyglass has now paid Gold Point Energy a total of $1.12-million (U.S.). The 62,335 gross/56,522-net-acre South Cedar Creek project is strategically located in a region where historical production includes the Cedar Creek anticline, which has already produced 500 million barrels of oil.
A five-well drill program costing approximately $3.1-million (U.S.) is planned for the first half of 2006. Gold Point Energy will have a 30-per-cent working interest in these wells and Spyglass will have 70 per cent. After project payout of the first five wells, and in any subsequent wells, Gold Point Energy will have a 47.5-per-cent working interest, and Spyglass will have 52.5 per cent. Spyglass will be the operator of all wells drilled.
Gold Point Energy`s partner on the project, Spyglass, is run by veteran explorationist Karen Christensen. Ms. Christensen was formerly exploration manager for Venoco and Conoco`s deep-water Gulf of Mexico and Nigerian exploration programs, and was instrumental in several giant (100 million barrels of oil plus) oil and gas discoveries including the Ursa fields and massive King Kong field (250 million barrels of oil and 800 billion cubic feet of gas).
Additionally, the company reports that completion operations have resumed on the Portland C-4A well in San Patricio county, Texas. To date, the joint venture has successfully re-entered the wellbore down to the objective Frio pay zone. The current operation will seal off the F-14 and F-15 zones that previously tested non-commercial quantities of gas and water, and attempt to complete the well in the upper portion of the F-18 zone. Results are expected by early February. Gold Point Energy has increased its working interest in the Portland well from 37.5 per cent to 42.25 per cent.
Gold Point Energy is aggressively implementing its business strategy for 2006. Through the company`s alliance with the Grosso Group, new opportunities in the oil and gas sector are continuously being presented and reviewed. Other members of the Grosso Group include IMA Exploration, Amera Resources and Golden Arrow Resources.

This work is expected to run concurrently with a five-well drill program costing approximately US$3,100,000 on the Company`s adjacent South Cedar Creek Anticline project (see Dec. 3, 2005 news release).
The Company`s acreage position is strategically located in close proximity to existing gas production, just to the south and west of the Project is the West Short Pine Hills Field that has produced 23 BCFG from the Shannon formation at depths of 1,000 to 1,500 feet. The North Short Pine Hills Prospect is located to the west of the South Cedar Creek Anticline Project, which may also have potential for shallow gas production from the Shannon. The North Short Pine Hills Prospect covers 56,458 gross and 54,626 net acres in Harding County, South Dakota.
To evaluate this potential GPE has closed an Exploration Agreement with Spyglass NSPH, LLC of San Antonio, Texas ("Spyglass") and Silver Tip Energy, LLC of Red Lodge, Montana ("Silver Tip") to jointly develop the North Short Pine Hills Prospect. das Kursplus von gestern/vorgestern dürfte auch nur eine technische Gegenbewegung sein, mehr leider nicht.
Für den derzeitigen Marktwert von GPE kann ich mittlerweile schon Unternehmen kaufen die schon schwarze Zahlen schreiben und nicht horrende Verluste für Probebohrungen ausgeben. Nach wie vor für mich eine klare Verkaufsposition bis in die Gegend einer wieder realistischen Bewertung.

Für den derzeitigen Marktwert von GPE kann ich mittlerweile schon Unternehmen kaufen die schon schwarze Zahlen schreiben und nicht horrende Verluste für Probebohrungen ausgeben. Nach wie vor für mich eine klare Verkaufsposition bis in die Gegend einer wieder realistischen Bewertung.
